Refunds and cancellations
This policy applies to professional fees and deposits for financial auditing engagements with Anchor Point Financial Audit. It does not cover products, merchandise, or software subscriptions, which we do not sell.
Eligibility
Refund eligibility depends on whether fieldwork has started, whether third-party confirmation costs have been incurred, and the notice period before scheduled inventory observation or on-site days. The signed engagement letter controls if its terms differ from this summary.
Timeframe to request a refund
Refund requests should be sent in writing to hello@secureinfrastructure.digital within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, cancellation confirmation or invoice date in dispute).
Full refund
A full refund of unused deposits is available if you cancel in writing before we begin planning procedures and before we incur confirmation or travel costs, provided notice arrives at least fourteen days before the first scheduled fieldwork or observation date.
Partial refund
If planning has begun but substantive fieldwork has not, we may refund the deposit minus time already spent at the rates in the engagement letter, and minus non-recoverable confirmation or travel costs. Partial refunds after fieldwork starts are limited to unused prepaid amounts for phases not yet commenced.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for fieldwork days already performed
- Bank or legal confirmation fees already paid to third parties
- Non-refundable travel booked for agreed on-site dates with less than seven days’ notice of cancellation
- Completed inventory observation days
Refund process and timing
Email your request with the engagement reference, reason, and payment details used. We confirm receipt within five business days and aim to complete approved refunds within twenty-one business days.
Refund method
Refunds are issued to the original payer by bank transfer to the account used for the deposit, unless another method is required by law.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule by written notice. Rescheduling inventory observation or multi-day fieldwork with fewer than seven days’ notice may incur a rescheduling fee equal to one fieldwork day rate if we cannot redeploy the team. We may cancel if independence is impaired or if ledgers remain incomplete after agreed deadlines; in that case, fees for work completed remain payable and unused prepaid amounts for unstarted phases are refundable.
Deposits
Deposits secure calendar capacity for year-end and count dates. Deposits are applied to the final fee unless forfeited under the non-refundable or short-notice rules above.
No-shows
If client staff are unavailable for a confirmed observation or walkthrough day without timely notice, that day may be billed as performed and is not refundable.
Work already started
Once substantive testing or observation has started, fees for completed procedures are due. We provide a status summary of completed versus remaining phases on request.
Purchased materials
We do not sell physical product kits. Any third-party filing or courier costs advanced on your behalf are billed at cost and are non-refundable once paid.
Exceptions
Mandatory consumer protections under Japanese law, if applicable to your situation, take precedence over conflicting parts of this policy. Engagement-letter terms negotiated for a specific statutory audit may add conditions suited to multi-entity or multi-site work.
